Saddle stitch is basically single sheets of paper, printed on both sides, collated in page number order, folded in half, then stapled through the fold with staples made of thin wire securing the sheets together and then trim the 3 sides to the desired finished size…
Perfect binding booklet printing is single sheets (text weight) paper printed on both sides and collated in page number order, one on top of the other, and gathered into a book block. The spine edge is ground off. The softcover (a thicker cardstock) is placed over and around the book block (interior pages) and attached by the application of a strong yet flexible PUR glue along the binding edge, creating a professional looking square spine that can be printed on.
The minimum number of pages is 28 pages to 2” thick maximum. 2 page increments are required when ordering.
Spiral Binding is more durable than wire-o binding but does not have the professional look of a wire-o bound book. A spiral bound book uses a durable plastic coil which makes it an ideal option for spiral book binding that needs to lie flat and can fold or wrap back around themselves (360 degree) and are continually being referred to. The plastic coil allows for frequent use that not damage the book binding coil. Spiral bound book printing is great for instruction and repair manuals, cookbooks, directories, handbooks, guides, and other reference materials. Spiral binding is excellent for wall calendars and planners can hang flat against the wall.
Inside Paper Options
100# Gloss Text (5pt)This shiny and lustrous coated sheet is excellent for full color printing making photographs stand out and look rich and beautiful. It is about 25% thicker and heavier than 80# text, giving a more upscale, sharp and appealing look with a higher end feel. This premium paper features high opacity for two-sided printing that will have minimal show through the opposite side.
Cover Paper Options
100# Gloss Cover Cardstock (9 pt) For a more upscale look and a higher end feel, upgrade to our 100# gloss cover. It has the same characteristics and uses as 80# gloss cover but is about 25% more bulk being thicker and heavier, making it our highest quality premium paper. UV coating is available for a more shiny and luxurious high gloss finish
Gloss paper has a shiny and lustrous smooth coated gloss finish. Excellent for making full color printing appear more vibrant.
Matte paper is a dull coated sheet that exhibits low gloss finish. Paper has minimal glare, making it easier to read text.
Uncoated paper is easy to write on and should be used in projects such as a workbook or coloring book.
Save your PDF in CMYK.
Gamayprinting recommends that the resolution of your images and document be 300 dpi or more.
Bleed is an extra 1/8” of image that extends beyond the trim area of your printed piece. The project is printed on an oversized sheet that is cut down to size with the appearance that the image is “bleeding” off the edge of the paper.
Our services are that of an offset printer and we make use of CMYK color mode for the process of printing. In the case that your artwork has been submitted in Pantone or RGB color modes, we make sure that it is converted to CMYK before printing plates are done. For the best convenience, it is recommended that you submit your artwork in the CMYK format.

Before the printing process is started, 3 types of comprehensive proofs are provided to you in order to ensure that there is no confusion during the completion of the order.
PDF Proof
Once we have checked the artwork and the file, we provide you with a PDF proof that you can check and approve.
Hard Proof and Dummy
If the file that you had provided us is suitable for printing, we can also provide you with hard proofs that will enable you to check the color. We make use of our GMG ColorProof system in order to print hard proofs on hard proof paper. The hard proof paper is different from the paper that would be used during mass printing and the machine used is also the hard proof machine, but we guarantee that the color would be exact to what you get as a part of the hard proof. The dummy that we provide to you is not printed, but blank, and only serves the purpose of you being able to check the binding and paper quality. Real paper is used in order to bind the dummy.
Digital Printing Sample
You can also choose to have a sample be printed with the help of our digital printing machine. In the case of mass printing products, this printing is done with the help of our offset printing machines. It is for this very reason that the color of the digital printing sample will be a little different from the mass printing product. However, this would provide you with a general idea about the final products.
Your turnaround time includes prepress, production, and shipping and will vary based on your project, but will add up to anywhere from 1 to 5 weeks.
